Saumya Jain

Center Directress

“A Happy mother is a good mother and if work makes you hum, your whole family sings along”.

At the start of her motherhood, Saumya was looking for a Pre-school for her 15 months old daughter, Saaisha. All she was looking for was a school where her daughter can grow without any fear and gets nurtured in a healthy environment where she could explore things on her own. With her, Saumya also started her journey with Footprints and evolved every single day.

A philosophy student from Indraprastha College (Delhi University), she was a Content Writer by profession and books have been her soulmate. She believes in thriving for overall development and not just one aspect in life. With the same pursuit she always wanted the next generation to get involved in something which focuses on overall personality development and not just one. With the admission of her daughter, she realised that Footprints is one such platform where she can pursue her dream of making positive impact on children's development. As of today, Saumya has been associated with Footprints for 5 years now and we look forward to many more years of association with her!!

Sleep is very important to your child's health and well-being. It plays crucial role in brain development. Getting young children to sleep is often one of the challenges faced by many parents and that impacts adults too Regardless of your child's age, the key is to have a predictable series of steps that help him wind down from the day. In fact the routines can be set way to early. Setting a daily routine for bedtimes (and, if appropriate, nap times) and follow the schedule. Create symbols and signs as a visual representation for children to identify what routine it is now! Do not wait for your child to start rubbing the eyes or yawning — that's probably too late. Try getting off the screen 2 hours before bed time. Create routines for family as that will have major impact on children because children are constantly observing adults. You can includes activities like, music time, reading a book that your child selects, narrating a story or having reflection of the day, example, "I noticed you worked with your speaking pen today, I wonder if you wish to repeat it tomorrow," . . . #dailyroutine #preschool #footprints #myfootprintsbox #strategy #parentingtips #parenting #bedtime #storytime #teachersofinstagram #momsofinstagram #mompreneur #momblog #sleep #education #earlychildhoodeducation #goodnight
