The ideal sleep duration during this phase is 12 to 16 hours, including sleep at night and naps during the day. It is especially important for them to get the sleep hours they need to concentrate at school. Needless to say, insufficient sleep comes with many issues, including, but not limited to, falling behind in schoolwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Protip: Make sure there isn\u2019t screen time just before bedtime! For one, teenagers have a lot of demands on their time. Also, oftentimes, they do not want to sleep at night. Children at this stage still need 8 to 10 hours of sleep.
